The View to Promised Land...

This scene somehow reminds me of the "Promised Land."

Beautiful & Layered

I do not know the name of these clouds. I call them "simply beautiful."

Center of the Nimbostratus Cloud

Nimbo is from the Latin word "nimbus" meaning rain. This is a rain cloud of the layer type.

Cumulus Mediocris Clouds

This cloud shows the cauliflower form characteristics.

Another Cirrocumulus Cloud

By appearance, the term cirrocumulus is a small, white patch or tuft without a gray shadow.

Cirrocumulus

This is a high altitude cloud usually occuring at 16,000 - 40,000 feet.

The Rabbit...

A Cumulus cloudscape looking like a bunny rabbit.

Next Series - CLOUDZ

I have been capturing shots of the sun for the past 2 weeks. At the same time, I was really captivated with the beautiful clouds that comes in different forms, colours and density. Looks like cotton but what a beautiful sight to behold. Another one of God's beautiful creation.

My first blog photograph in DREAMZ gallery was a cloud photoshot taken from a plane. Now I have an entire collection to put up. Lets call this collection CLOUDZ.

So it will be CLOUDZ until I am inspired again....

Over-exposed Photo, But Nice...

Sunset

Sunset in B & W

This is a black and white version of the sunset viewed from the skies.

Sunset in Sepia

The black object on the right of the photo is the propeller fan of the aircraft.

Sunset Viewed from the Skies

The sun was setting at 7.10pm.

Sunset from the Skies...

On the same day, flying on a different route I took this photoshot of the sunset.

Sunrise Viewed from the Skies...

As a continuation of the sunset series, I am now posting a collection of photoshots taken from the plane. This shot was taken in the morning at 8am as the sun makes its rise on a cloudy day.

Sunset at 7.25pm

The beautiful sky show continued till 7.30pm before the skies called it a day.

Sunset @ 7.20pm ... A Spectacular Show Begins...

After the sun sets, a spectacular show begins in the clouds and the skies. I zoomed my lens to catch this spectacular scene. Looked as though there was a volcanic eruption.

Sunset @ 7.15pm

Going, going ...

Sunset @ 7.10pm

I suddenly came to a realization that the earth's rotation is quite fast actually.

Sunset @ 7.05pm

I watched the sun set. Suddenly a buggy went past me and someone shouted out my name. Because I was staring at the sun for these shots, I could not see who it was calling out for me even though he was just 5 meters away (laugh).

Sunset @ 7.01pm

Armed with my 70mm-300mm I walked into a golf course (the hole nearest to the club house) and I shot the beautiful sunset.

Today I achieved 100 blogs in Dreamz. Today, the Photography Exhibition at RBS Bank was also reported in The Star, and I am proud to be a part of the photo in the newspaper report. See The Star to find out (smile).

The 100th blog is the post of my prize winning photo.

I am going for 200 soon.

Prize Winning Photo... Choo-Choo Train...

This is a photo that won me the prize of self satisfaction. In this candid photo, taken in a city of one of our ASEAN neighbours, shows a picture of happiness and contentment in life.

Modelling Photoshoot!

I was invited to shoot photos of 3 models, and 5 photographers were invited. It was a great experience, as I could ask the models to pose. The other photo shots that I have taken and put in this blogs had to be captured shots [seize the moment shots] and these shots are at times extremely difficult and testing my patience. My "People" collection would never be complete without putting up these great shots from this modelling collection. This is one of the 3 beautiful models.

One of The Three Models...

Looks like a shampoo advert! Great model, good photo.

One of the Three Models...

Great model, good photo.

Another Navigator...

I switched boats, and here's another navigator. He wasn't navigating the boat.

Happy Faces...

A click at random.

The Navigator...

I was a passenger on the same boat.
He was sitting at the nose of the boat.

Pushing The Bicycle...

I wonder why he is not riding his bicycle?

Balancing Act...

It is quite a common scene to see ladies balancing a basket on the head where I shot this photo.
At the background is the hustle and bustle of people at a railway station.

Going Separate Ways...

Holding my camera, walking along this street, suddenly I found this opportunity to make this candid shot. It sort of describe that the man and the lady are going separate ways. But actually, they are just passerby.

Moonriver... Wider Than A Mile...

Life Is But.. A Dream...

Merrily Merrily Merrily Merrily....

Gently Down The Stream...

Row Row Row Your Boat...

How Did He Fall?

This man must be a fisherman. Walked past a bridge and saw him in the water.

I Am Inspired Again...

Yesterday, I was invited to a photography exhibition by RBS Bank. The exhibition was entitled "Jahabar Sadiq's Photographs - People and Places." The Penang Chief Minister officiated the event. It was truly inspiring for me to see how the professionals do it. The real stuff.

Me... a long shot amateur photographer is nowhere near this league. But, this inspired me to put up some of my photography shots of people. So far... for this blog I have put up scenic, birds and animal shots.

My next blogs will be about photography of people...

Same Spot, But 5 Minutes Later....

Time made a big difference to the colour of the clouds.

Another Spectacular Cloud View @ Lantern Festival Day

Another shot I couldn't resist. Clouds in sunlight from a low sun. This shot is taken from a golf resort in Penang.

Beautiful Clouds on Lantern Festival Day...

While waiting for the right time to get a good photoshot of the moon, I just couldn't resist taking shots of the clouds. Simply beautiful. I leant that this is a cloud named "Altocumulus".

Beautiful Moon @ Mooncake Festival

Beautiful clouds backdrop lining at the back of the full moon.

Full Moon @ Mid Autumn Festival

This shot is not easy to take without a tripod. Many attempts with one success.

Mid-Autumn Festival...

This photo shot was taken in Penang on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese calender. Note the bird flying over the moon.
Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival is a popular harvest festival celebrated by Chinese people. This festival is held on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese calender. In Malaysia it is also sometimes referred to as the Lantern Festival or Mooncake Festival. To the Chinese people, it is the celebration of farmers to mark the end of the summer harvesting season on this date.

Pre-war Shophouses @ Penang Road

Hmmph.. it was difficult to catch this shot using the 70mm-300mm lens.

Another view of beautiful Penang...

This shot was taken from another corner of the pedestrian bridge.

Beautiful Penang...

I took this shot from a pedestrian bridge

Penang Famous Chendol...

This is a popular hotspot for Chendol. I had one bowl of it (smile).

The first shot with the new lens...

The is the scene at KOMTAR.
