Via Dei Condotti in the city of Rome is "the street" where all the big names in the fashion world retail... I was impressed and proud to see Jimmy Choo there... Jimmy Choo has done Malaysia proud!

The Magnificent Imperial Forum...

The FORO (Forum Roma) also known as Imperial Forum is situated next to the Colesium. I could not resist but to stroll into the FORO to snap photos of the magnificent structures and buildings that are still preserved until today.

The Walk @ The Imperial Forums (FORO)...

The FORO (Forum of Rome), situated about 15 minutes walk from my hotel is indeed a scenic place for a walk. Coupled with the cool weather of 15C, the walk was a stroll. The theme of this gallery is "historical gardens."

The Palatino @ Imperial Forums

The Imperial Forums can be admired walking along the wide street called Via dei Fori Imperiali. From a small village on the top of the Palatine (that is why it is called Palatino), Rome streatched across 3 continents.

The Cross @ Colosseo

These photos were taken from inside the Colosseo. The Cross in the center of the amphitheatre is outstanding. From what I learnt, the Cross was built there to remember Christians who died at the Colosseo. The 4 photos below are views of the Cross taken from 4 gates.

From within the Colosseo, the Cross stands right in the center of the arena. The photos below were taken standing at the audience gallery. Standing there brought me back to ancient Roman times.

Coliseum

Its original name, Flavian Amphitheatre. In the year 80 A.D. it was inaugurated by Titus with games that lasted 100 days during which 5,000 wild animals were killed. It was called Coliseum only later in honour of the colossal statue of Nero situated nearby.

The 80 entrances were numbered to let in an orderly flow of people.

The 3 series of superimposing arcades are marked by Doric, Ionian and Corinthian semicolumns set on mighty pillars.

The well preserved wall on the north side is 48.5 meter high.

The Coliseum could accomodate about 60,000 spectators.

I am particularly happy with the results of these photoshots made in Rome, and I have converted some of it to Sepia to add the mood of the ancient Roman times. These photos were taken at the Roman Forum (FORO) near the Colosseo, around, and within the Colosseo.
